About Pauline Cook.

The school is run by Mrs Pauline Cooper (nee Cook) who is a fully qualified dance teacher.

Pauline started dancing at the age of 4 years and quickly became a talented youngster performing in many productions in the local area, as well as passing dancing examinations with top honours. She studied dance for 3 years in Surrey at one of the top stage schools before embarking on a career as a professional dancer. She worked on grade A contracts in Pantomimes and summer shows for
Tom Arnold and Bernard Delfonte with top named stars including Morecambe and Wise and Sir Bruce Forsyth in the late 60's and early 70's.

Pauline is a full member of the Royal Academy of Dance, a fellow of the International Dance Teachers Association and an associate of the Imperial Society of Teachers of dancing as well as holding qualifications in many other dance genres.  She is passionate about passing on her skills as well as making dance enjoyable for all. She has trained many students to a very high standard, who in turn have won many major awards, some have progressed to be professional performers and teachers in their own right.

We offer Ballet, Tap, Singing & Drama, Street Dance and Zumba classes in Consett, Stanley and Lanchester for all ages and abilities.
